A hidden coffee shop located near the Chew Jetty famous for their retro (old-school) ambience and definitely their coffee. It's not too crowded when I went there, I ordered the Ice Latte (or Ice White) and wow I was so astonished by the bold & thick flavour. It's not like your normal Latte, they made it thicker and bolder than the usual one, i think they add some espresso foam on the top, but whatever it is, personally I think it was the best coffee I've tasted in Penang. I also ordered the salted egg croissant, i think it's unique and different from other pastries I've ever tasted, but it was still okay (not great) and still have room for improvement The ambience was also great, with lots of yellow-ish lamps & lanterns, with different kinds of antiques & retro collectibles, made it the best place to rest after walking around looking for second-hands & collectibles around the area. Definitely will come here for the 2nd time!

I visited the cafe for their vietnamese eggroll coffee and to do some work. My Mrs had a vietnamese pandang tea. The coffee was unique and tasted special besides the typical vietnamese coffee bean flavour. Lovely ambience, quiet and wonderful furniture. I shall try their food the next time.

Excellent cafe with delicious drinks and scenery, very relaxing. It was all so nice we stayed for 2 drinks. The seats are like your living room and it is in a cute indoor street with many small vendors. Would recommend!

Sama Sama cafe is a unique coffee shop in the heart of Penang. Best in the old Docklands warehouses the cafe contains many many unique artifact's left from previous eras. The owner has personally collected these over the years from the sides of the streets and from auctions of the old warehouses. It's a comfortable area to set out of the heat and get some rest bite with a nice coffee or croissant. They also have a few Vietnamese coffee options for you to try. There is also a small selection of handmade gifts available at the front counter.

I really wanted to give the shop cashier a shoutout because they were so nice and the service was top notch! The iced coconut coffee was so refreshing in the heat It’s such a quaint little shop as well, a really good place to have a quick break on the way to or from the jetty. 10/10 would visit again. Thanks for the tea on the house! ^^

I stumbled upon this cozy vintage cafe off a busy street and it's a real hidden gem. Filled with rustic vintage furniture and old stuff. The ambience is unique and charming. We had coffee and juice here and enjoyed the air conditioning. It’s a great place to relax and take photos. The coffee and juice are good but waffle is just so so

ꜱᴀᴍᴀꜱᴀᴍᴀ ᴄᴀꜰÉ & ᴡᴏʀᴋꜱʜᴏᴘ -After a stop at the postcard shop, I made my way to SamaSama Café & Workshop in George Town, Penang, and it absolutely lived up to the anticipation. Located within Jetty35, this café feels like stepping into a beautifully curated time capsule. The space is filled with a personal collection of vintage finds. Retro fans, antique signboards, old-school bus tickets, and charmingly mismatched furniture. Each corner tells a story, and the atmosphere invites you to slow down and take it all in. It's the kind of place where nostalgia lingers in the air and every object feels like it holds a memory. I didn’t have any food this time, but the Vietnamese egg coffee was a standout coming from Vietnam but didn't go for that one either. With the xth cup of coffee today I opted for a milk-based one, white coffee and a honey lemon juice for refreshment. I needed to just recharge and take it easy in the dry heat.
